This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to our continued growth and success.
About the role
Reporting and compliance of Key Financial Statements, with adherence to UK Accounting Standards. Ensuring that the ledgers are up to date, invoicing is correct and timely and that balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed.
Key accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Anaplan)
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and reconciliations
- Manage statutory accounts and Companies House filings
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Prepare VAT returns, corporation tax information, and ONS returns
- Monitor cash flow, capital spend and financial controls
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
- Oversee Risk Management activities
Specialist skills & experience
- Part or Fully qualified accountant
- 5+ years finance experience
- Competent in Microsoft Excel
- Use of recognised accounting packages
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Good communicator
- Logical and systematic
Good to have
- Experience in using Sage Int Acct, or similar Sage products
- Experience of using reporting tools
- Minimum 3 years in similar role
Key interfaces
- Interaction with all members of the Finance team
- Working across departments on financial control and approval, at all levels of the organisation
- Supplier and customer interaction where required
