As a Key Account Manager you will own the regional business plan, aligning Takeda's central oncology strategy with the needs of NHS customers across local health economies and networks. You'll lead cross‐functional collaboration to deliver commercial objectives, grow our oncology portfolio, and ultimately ensure more patients benefit from our treatments.
How You Will Contribute
- Shape & Deliver the Regional Plan – Construct, present and agree financial objectives, promotional strategy and tactics with the Divisional Sales Director/Business Unit Director as part of the business planning process. Monitor performance and proactively adjust plans to meet goals.
- Drive Oncology Portfolio Growth – Be accountable for delivering the business plan across Takeda's oncology portfolio, working collaboratively with other field teams, their line management and Head Office functions.
- Build Strategic Partnerships – Leverage support for products, ideas and projects across NHS networks. Develop and mobilise local and national brand advocates to maximise value for the company and for patients.
- Integrate & Differentiate – Collaborate with other Takeda field teams and Head Office to integrate working practices and differentiate Takeda effectively within the oncology market.
- Apply Market & Policy Insight – Maintain detailed knowledge of national NHS policy objectives and drivers, translating these into actionable regional growth opportunities.
- Maintain Excellence in Governance – Ensure CRM and knowledge management systems are maintained to Takeda standards, keeping business plans and objectives transparent to the Senior Leadership Team. Operate in full compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice and Takeda SOPs, safeguarding the company's reputation at all times.
What You Bring to Takeda
- Proven track record in pharmaceutical Key Account Management, ideally within Oncology or Solid Tumours
- Exceptional business planning, account management and commercial acumen
- Experience engaging with NHS stakeholders across local health economies, including population‐level decision makers
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, NHS structures and policy drivers
- Ability to lead cross‐functional collaboration and influence without authority
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to flex across channels
- Deep understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice
- A patient‐first mindset, with the curiosity and resilience to continuously learn and adapt
