About the role
Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful business decisions? As a Data & Insights Manager, you will act as a senior individual contributor and trusted analytics partner to commercial teams and cross-functional stakeholders across Takeda UK & Ireland, generating actionable insights that shape brand strategy, customer engagement, and business performance.
In this role, you will lead analytics strategy for brands and business units, combining analytics, market intelligence, forecasting, and market research to help maximise the impact of our brands. You will own forecasting processes and strategic business insights, translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior commercial leadership, and contribute to building a data-driven culture across the organisation. You will also play an important role in coaching junior analytics colleagues, developing team capabilities, sharing best practices, and championing innovation in analytics and insights.
How you will contribute
- Lead analytics strategy for assigned brands and business units, delivering market, brand, customer, and competitive analyses to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior commercial leadership, generating insights and recommendations that help optimise brand performance, customer engagement, and business outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators, communicating trends, opportunities, and risks to stakeholders.
- Design and lead market research and analytics projects to address key business questions and support brand strategies.
- Own forecasting processes in partnership with finance and commercial teams, developing robust market, patient, and revenue forecasts and presenting strategic insights to senior leaders.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of reporting, dashboarding, and data management capabilities, including Takeda's commercial data platforms.
- Collaborate on data-driven customer engagement initiatives, including segmentation, targeting, campaign optimisation, and next-best-action approaches.
- Coach junior analytics colleagues and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making by sharing best practices, strengthening analytics capability, and raising the standard of insight generation across the business.
- Stay current with evolving analytics methodologies, data sources, artificial intelligence, and pharmaceutical industry trends to bring innovative thinking to the organisation.
What you bring to Takeda
- Strong experience in analytics, insights, business intelligence, market research, forecasting, or a related commercial analytics function.
- Experience working within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or a similarly data-rich industry.
- Proven experience translating complex data into business recommendations and influencing decision-making.
- Experience developing forecasts, market assessments, and performance analyses for commercial teams.
- Experience leading analytics or market research projects from design through implementation.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing colleagues is advantageous.
Technical and business expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify actionable insights.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare data sources, including sales, patient, market, and competitor data.
- Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and commercial performance measurement.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, advanced Excel, or similar analytical and reporting tools.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar data platforms would be desirable but is not essential.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of marketing and sales effectiveness.
