About the role
Are you an early-career to mid-level analytics professional who is passionate about using data to solve business challenges and improve outcomes for patients? As a Data & Insights Associate, you will work under the guidance of senior Data & Insights colleagues and alongside commercial teams to deliver analyses, support projects, and generate insights that inform strategy, optimise brand performance, and enable data-driven decision-making across Takeda UK & Ireland.
In this role, you will analyse market, customer, and competitor data to identify opportunities, evaluate commercial performance, and contribute to strategic planning. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in forecasting, market research, strategic analytics, and stakeholder engagement while playing an active role in fostering a culture where insights drive action and innovation. This is a 12-18 months fixed-term contract.
How you will contribute
- Deliver market, brand, customer, and competitive analyses that support commercial strategy and operational planning.
- Monitor brand performance through KPI tracking and provide clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support the design, execution, and management of market research and third-party analytics projects that address key business questions.
- Generate analytics and reporting that support decision-making across Takeda's commercial portfolio.
- Help maintain and enhance reporting, dashboarding, and data management capabilities, working closely with the wider Data & Insights team.
- Partner with commercial and DD&T stakeholders on customer engagement initiatives, including segmentation, targeting, campaign optimisation, and data-driven decision support.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and provide support across the DD&T function when required.
- Continuously develop new skills, explore emerging technologies, and stay informed on developments in analytics, data, and the pharmaceutical industry.
What you bring to Takeda
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, market research, data analysis, forecasting, reporting, or another quantitative or data-focused role.
- Experience working with analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, advanced Excel, or similar reporting platforms.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar data platforms would be desirable but is not essential.
- Exposure to forecasting, market research, commercial analytics, or healthcare/pharmaceutical data is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful business insights.
- Understanding of data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement principles.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare data sources is beneficial.
- Curiosity about commercial strategy, marketing effectiveness, and business performance.
- Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualisation tools.
