Act as the business-facing partner for Data, Digital & Technology in the UK & Ireland, leading the data excellence agenda across Commercial, Access, Medical, Finance and DD&T. You will spearhead data stewardship, integration, quality, and adoption initiatives, develop local roadmaps, and promote a data-driven culture.

Opportunity

Work closely with cross-functional partners in the UK & Ireland, IBU, ICC/GCC and global DD&T teams. Drive the implementation of global data standards, data quality, and ingestion priorities while ensuring alignment with local business needs and global strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead & implement data stewardship for the UK & Ireland. Set stewardship approach, lead dataset reviews, and ensure critical datasets have clear definitions and quality expectations.
  • Partner with IBU DD&T. Co-create data standards, KPIs, tools and technologies, aligning UK & Ireland priorities with the broader DD&T direction.
  • Embed global data standards locally. Apply data standards, align local field names and values, maintain mapping tables, and manage exceptions.
  • Partner with ICC/GCC for scalable delivery. Define outcomes, clarify delivery expectations, remove blockers, and ensure quality and business value.
  • Lead & implement data quality management and remediation cycles. Execute monitoring, prioritise issues, partner with SMEs, and ensure fixes through rules, transformations, or process changes.
  • Drive data documentation. Maintain data dictionaries, lineage notes, refresh frequencies, business rules, and usage guidance for analysts and product teams.
  • Lead & implement data integration and ingestion activities. Onboard data sources into EDB with alignment to business needs and platform requirements.
  • Own the UK & Ireland data roadmap and backlog. Prioritise integrations, fixes, governance activities, and provide clear progress updates, risks, and dependencies.
  • Lead data fluency and adoption across the UK & Ireland. Deliver enablement through training, office hours, playbooks, and reusable examples.

What you bring to Takeda

  • 5+ years of experience in data, analytics, digital, or commercial excellence, including cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong understanding of Takeda technology, data ecosystem, and analytics operating models.
  • Preferred UK & Ireland, regional or global experience with enterprise adoption insights.
  • Excellent communication skills translating technical topics for business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Takeda MarTech, Salesforce stack, and data modelling.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, R, Python, Databricks, Power BI and data modelling.
  • Knowledge of ETL, APIs, and database connectivity.
  • Technical knowledge of digital channels: web, apps, surveys.
  • Demonstrated project, program, stakeholder, and change management experience.
  • Familiarity with all data sources and underlying structures.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance (UK GDPR, ABPI Code of Practice).
  • Influential leadership, ability to gain cross-functional support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Collaborative network-building across functions.
  • Clear, persuasive communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership of cross-functional data-enabled growth initiatives.
  • Passion for data sources, especially the Customer Data domain.
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working and leading by example.
