Just Eat Takeaway is seeking an experienced writer to join its small, yet high-performing UX (user experience) writing team. You will be tasked with providing the finest hand-crafted artisanal interface copy for our customer, partner, and courier products. The role involves working across all areas of our products, from onboarding to post-order customer care. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including designers, product managers, call centre managers, and software developers. Responsibilities

  • Help create the best possible user experience for people using our products.
  • Take ownership of a key UX writing resource, such as the style guide or termbank, ensuring it is regularly updated and fit for purpose.
  • Get to grips with our tone of voice and act as an ambassador for it.
  • Build a network of contacts across the business and be an advocate for good UX copy.
  • Contribute to the team’s ways of working and help shape its future.
  • Be determined - you will be providing artisanal interface copy for customer, partner, and courier products.
  • Own your results - work across all areas of our products, from onboarding to post-order customer care.
  • Raise the bar by collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including designers and software developers.
  • You know the difference between marketing terms and policy language; ensure accuracy in copy and terminology.

Qualifications

  • You know the difference between 'license' and 'licence' and which one’s which.
  • The incorrect use of apostrophes gets you hot under the collar.
  • You enjoy having a conversation with people through the written word.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines at once doesn’t faze you.
  • You’re as comfortable writing to a character count as you are a word count.
  • You view AI as a tool to enhance human creativity, not replace it.
  • You’ve got at least three years’ relevant experience under your belt.
  • You have a passion for writing and helping people with a few well-chosen words.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across the business.
