About this role
JET's Information Security organisation protects a technology-led, cloud-native platform serving millions of customers across multiple markets.
JET's building security into the foundations of how we design, engineer, and operate our cloud-native platforms at scale, across our technology organisation.
JET's Security Engineering team builds the tools, guardrails and controls that let every engineer at JET ship secure code, over 100 times a day.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll design, build and run the security solutions our 1st and 2nd line Info Sec teams and wider engineering community rely on daily, from vulnerability scanning and access monitoring to AI security guardrails.
You'll work hands-on within JET's global Security Engineering team, turning security policy into code and every engineer into a security-conscious one.
These are some of the key components to the position
- Design, build and deploy security controls and guardrails across JET's cloud-native platforms, including AI security solutions protecting customer-facing products.
- Run password audits, network and web application vulnerability scans, and intrusion detection to identify and close gaps before they're exploited.
- Automate security processes as code, embedding compliance and Ia C checks into CI/CD pipelines shipping over 100 times daily.
- Conduct risk audits and assessments, translating findings into practical recommendations for engineering teams.
- Monitor and analyse system access logs, flagging anomalies and supporting incident response.
- Plan and test security backup and disaster recovery processes to keep JET's platforms resilient.
- Partner with 1st and 2nd line Info Sec teams as customers of your solutions, translating technical work for product and engineering audiences.
What will you bring to the team?
- Practical experience writing and deploying applications or tooling into cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Strong, demonstrable skills deploying AI security solutions, guardrails, and defences for AI systems used by customers.
- Proficiency in at least one of C#, Python, Java, Power Shell or Bash, with a track record of automating security processes.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code practices.
- Comfort operating in Agile, Dev Ops-driven teams with frequent, continuous delivery.
- Confident stakeholder management, translating security risk and technical decisions into language product and engineering teams act on.
- A collaborative, evangelist mindset, building trust so others choose secure defaults rather than having security imposed on them.
- At JET, this is how we play
Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.
Being the best at what we do isn't just about delivering on our strategy.
