The Challenge: The selected candidate will be responsible for business affairs legal work for a dynamic entertainment company and will work closely with internal business clients and senior in-house counsel. This position will negotiate, draft, and track a high-volume of legal agreements relating to entertainment, technology, advertising, intellectual property and related matters. This position is an in-person role based in our London office. This role will focus on the mobile games industry working with colleagues across EMEA, the US and the world, and the selected candidate should be commercially minded and pragmatic.

What You’ll Take On:

  • Draft, analyze and negotiate commercial agreements for all aspects of entertainment content creation, production, marketing and distribution.
  • Advise our internal teams that focus on game development, engineering, mobile platforms and app stores, user acquisition, ad tech, monetization, IP licensing and product distribution.
  • Bring expertise to a wide range of commercial agreements applicable to mobile gaming (such as MSAs, Monetization Agreements, IOs, and DPAs) including AdTech and MarTech vendors, analytics and attribution service providers, outsourcing and software vendors.
  • Independently handle contract negotiations with a pragmatic orientation and with multi‑jurisdictional awareness.
  • Partner with our business clients to meet commercial goals.
  • Structure and analyze deals within a matrix of rights held by third parties, such as content distributors, hardware manufacturers, sports leagues, record labels, music publishers, actors and other talent, technology licensors, software developers, entertainment companies, advertising agencies, ancillary merchandise vendors, data analytics providers, information technology vendors and similar entities.
  • Advise internal clients regarding general business and contract issues, as well as copyright, technology, corporate, regulatory and related matters.
  • Provide day‑to‑day legal and business affairs counsel to highly creative business units.
  • Assess risks associated with highly complex legal issues in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Serve as part of the Legal team helping Take‑Two’s publishing labels create the most innovative and creative products in the most efficient way possible.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of post‑qualification experience in‑house or within a law firm.
  • Expertise in contracting issues, with excellent drafting skills.
  • Experience with complex corporate or intellectual property transactions, including content creation, production, clearance, marketing and distribution.
  • Experience with software and technology licensing and development.
  • Experience with entertainment or technology matters, or significant corporate experience with a strong desire to transition to entertainment and technology matters.
  • Must have the ability and desire to evaluate and advise on complex agreements and contractual issues, and effectively distill information for clients.
  • Must possess common sense, patience, good humor, and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to convey complex matters in clear terms to clients and colleagues.
  • Enthusiasm for the videogame industry.
  • Eagerness to embrace AI and other new technologies in the legal practice.
  • Remains calm and confident despite deadlines and challenging priorities.
  • Qualified and in good standing as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, or relevant jurisdiction.
