Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a young Man with Physical and Learning Disabilities living in the Larkhall area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Assistance with toileting
· Preparing meals and healthy snacks
· Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Driver essential and you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities X-Box, interested in cars and enjoys day trips and socialising.
Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for (one position).
Guaranteed permanent position of (4 hours) per week
Days and times:
Tuesday 2pm – 6pm however, days and times are flexible
Occasional weekends and evenings may be required – to be discussed at interview
Hourly rate: £12.60
