Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a 55-year-old female with an acquired brain injury resulting in a Physical Disability living in Motherwell.
YOU would be required to provide one-to-one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities.
Responsibilities
- Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities
- Moving and assisting – pushing manual wheelchair
- General housework
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Interests include reading, cooking, shopping and swimming.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Key Qualities
- Warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role
- Good interpersonal and communication skills essential
- Relevant care experience required but not essential as training will be provided
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for 1 permanent position of 16 hours per week.
Days and Times
- Sundays: 8.30AM to 4.30PM
- 4 weekday evenings for 2 hours per evening – 7.30PM to 9.30PM
- Sleepover every 4th Saturday: 6:00PM to 9:00AM
Hourly Rate
£12.90 per hour
