Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a 55-year-old female with an acquired brain injury resulting in a Physical Disability living in Motherwell.

YOU would be required to provide one-to-one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities.

Responsibilities

  • Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
  • Assisting with medication
  • Preparing meals and healthy snacks
  • Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities
  • Moving and assisting – pushing manual wheelchair
  • General housework
  • Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Interests include reading, cooking, shopping and swimming.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Key Qualities

  • Warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills essential
  • Relevant care experience required but not essential as training will be provided

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)

Recruiting for 1 permanent position of 16 hours per week.

Days and Times

  • Sundays: 8.30AM to 4.30PM
  • 4 weekday evenings for 2 hours per evening – 7.30PM to 9.30PM
  • Sleepover every 4th Saturday: 6:00PM to 9:00AM

Hourly Rate

£12.90 per hour
