Female Personal Care Assistant required to assist a 63-year young lady living in the Gartcosh area of North Lanarkshire.

I’m looking for someone with a friendly nature and good interpersonal skills, hardworking, honest and a good sense of humour so therefore the person would have to have a desire to work within a Caring role.

My hobbies and interests are: – Archery, Photography (I’m looking into doing a College Course next year) Gardening, I grow my own fruit and vegetables. I love playing Computer games like Majong and the 5 different types of Solitaire which keeps my mind active and if I have time I enjoy reading.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within my home and in the community including attending to my personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

· Attending to some personal care needs

· Support with dressing

· Checking skin and applying cream as necessary

· Help to preparing meals (Lunch and evening meals) and healthy snacks.

· Hoisting – using my ceiling hoist

· Moving and assisting – pushing manual wheelchair

· General Housework, keeping house tidy, loading dishwasher, brushing floors, ironing, changing bedding every week

· Help me to keep up to date with simple exercise for losing Weight and Archery

· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Driver with Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential and you will be required to drive my manual mobility vehicle.

Relevant care experience is essential, and training can be given.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)

Recruiting for 1 position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 16.5 hours per week.

Days and times:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with a few weekends throughout the year – hours can be flexible and can be discussed at interview

Hourly rate:

£13.50 per hour, after 6 months £14.50
