Location: Wakefield, UK

Integrators are the boots on the ground bringing to life the magic behind Beyoncé’s world tour, Disney’s immersive attractions, and Cirque du Soleil’s breathtaking spectacles. They build and deliver integrated systems that are flawlessly tested and ready for showtime.

Position Purpose

The controls integrator brings together multiple project elements into one cohesive system. They play a key technical role across the project life cycle, ensuring smooth and effective factory acceptance and site acceptance testing. Integration ensures high-quality delivery before, during, and after systems handover to the client.

Position Responsibilities & Expectations

  • System & Project Delivery
    • Configure and prep TAIT control equipment in the shop to ensure readiness for site deployment.
    • Complete electrical installation/deployment of TAIT control systems, including cable terminations, rack mounting, power distribution, and electromechanical components.
    • Commission systems onsite, including tuning of automated machinery, networks, and front-end systems to meet project deliverables.
    • Assist with programming and front-end UI development in alignment with client specification and TAIT quality standards.
  • Project Integration & Technical Leadership
    • Collaborate with internal departments to strategise and plan integration activities, minimizing interruptions.
    • Develop manuals, training materials, and contribute to continual improvement of internal standards to meet client specifications.
  • Client Support & Field Operations
    • Conduct site inspections to troubleshoot systems, propose solutions, and implement fixes.
    • Participate in the ASKTAIT support rotation, providing remote diagnostics, log analysis, and client communication.
    • Travel on short notice to client sites across the EMEA region to support installations, maintenance, or emergency escalations.
    • Build strong relationships with clients, technicians, and external stakeholders while promoting TAIT’s reputation for excellence.
  • Quality Control & Safety
    • Conduct and maintain risk assessments, job-site safety analysis, and reporting on safety violations.
    • Perform safe installation and functional testing of systems and components in accordance with industry and regional standards.
    • Maintain safe working practices ensuring compliance with QHSE regulations.

Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of entertainment/industrial automation technology.
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming and control theory.
  • Understanding of basic electromechanical systems and electrical safety standards.
  • Experience in the theatre and/or entertainment industry.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to spend extended periods travelling throughout the year, most of the time spent on the road.
  • Adaptable to shifting schedules, priorities, and cultural differences.
  • Right to work in the UK.
