Position Purpose
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with internal and external business partners to identify, engage, attract, and acquire talent for the enterprise. This role is responsible for driving proactive talent strategies, including the development of robust pipelines and cultivation of external partnerships. The Specialist establishes strategic partnerships with business leaders to fully understand talent needs, collect market intelligence, and assess cultural fit for the organisation. Leveraging knowledge of the talent needs, the Specialist creates recruiting, marketing, and sourcing strategies to find qualified candidates. The Specialist partners with business and human resource leaders to strategically influence hiring decisions that lead to quickly identifying, selecting, and closing the right candidates by selling the vision and mission of TAIT Industries.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Possesses the ability to flex across the talent acquisition organization to recruit talent for hourly and salaried roles in Project Management, Production, Fabrication, Marketing, Engineering, HR, IT, Finance and other professional roles, covering multiple regions/countries.
- Uses Intake Meetings or Kickoff Calls to collaborate with Hiring Managers to define requirements, delineate and implement recruiting strategy, establish recruiting delivery expectations, and establish weekly communication updates.
- Defines and executes sourcing strategies including the use of various social media, external networks, referral programs, organizations, job boards, etc.
- Proactively develops and maintains evergreen talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles by leveraging advanced sourcing techniques and nurturing relationships with "silver medalist" candidates and passive talent.
- Partners with hiring managers to streamline the recruiting processes to create positive candidate experiences.
- Serves as a representative for university relations, including establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key universities and actively participating in on‑campus or virtual recruiting events and career fairs.
- Develops, implements, tracks, and publishes metrics that evaluate the health and stability of talent acquisition programs.
- Manages the offer and negotiation process to include pre‑closing and ultimately closing of candidates.
- Collaborates closely with the People Team Coordinator and other relevant People team members to ensure a seamless and positive onboarding experience for all new hires, including timely communication of start details, necessary documentation, and initial departmental introductions.
- Responsibilities may also include strategic workforce planning with business partners, candidate tracking, conducting interviews, extending job offers, and data collection on internal candidates.
- Participate in project staffing and Talent Acquisition meetings, offering informed recommendations and guidance to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Foundation: Achieved a degree‑level qualification (e.g., Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPD qualification) are highly desirable.
- Recruitment Expertise: Demonstrated extensive experience operating as a full‑cycle Talent Acquisition professional within a corporate, in‑house environment, successfully recruiting for complex, salaried, and hard‑to‑fill roles across various professional functions (e.g., Engineering, IT, Finance).
- Experience in live entertainment, event production, media, TV/Broadcast/Film/theater industries, a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in leveraging innovative and multi‑channel sourcing strategies, including Boolean logic, social media platforms, professional networks, and market mapping, to proactively identify and engage passive candidates.
- Proven experience and a strong understanding of recruiting across multiple regions or countries, including managing the complexity of diverse cultural contexts and international talent markets.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High‑level competency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including experience with data analysis and process optimization within the platform; specific knowledge in JobVite or ADP Lyric, a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and strategically influence hiring managers and business leaders to achieve talent acquisition goals.
- Strong knowledge of current talent acquisition best practices, industry trends, and innovative recruitment methodologies.
- Travel as needed, typically less than 20%.
