The Senior Integrator is a powerhouse of technical leadership, driving the delivery of TAIT’s most ambitious projects across iconic venues and global stages. This role blends technical precision with strategic vision steering complex ideas from concept to reality while shaping the future of Integration as a high-performance team. They contribute to a team of technical experts for high-stakes installations, while maintaining a position as a trusted advisor in business development, and a mentor who elevates team culture through coaching and innovation. From cruise ships to West End theatres, senior integrators lead with confidence, humility, and a focus on excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical Project Leadership: Point person for team and organization during early phases of project implementation, bidding, and technical execution. Works with leadership to staff the right person, on the right project, at the right time. Maintains connection with project teams to provide technical support and escalation path. Jumps in to assist with technical delivery for risky/complex projects and elements. Champions safety across department for activities both in the shop and onsite.
- Department and business development: Completes local department initiatives in alignment with larger department goals and objectives. Assists in coordinating and leading project kick-off meetings and post-project reviews. Maintains responsibility for project hour estimates and team’s actual hours to proactively address potential overages, scope creep, and delays. Builds strong relationships with clients, technicians, and other external stakeholders while promoting TAIT’s reputation for excellence.
- Team management, coaching, and professional development: Coaches team members on leadership and TAIT traits. Facilitates check-ins and 1on1 meetings with each integrator on their team. Helps build career development and growth plans. Assists in the hiring process for new team members. Manages new employee probationary period requirements. Promotes and builds a strong culture for the department around high-performance teamwork and mindful leadership skills.
Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of entertainment/industrial automation technology.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and control theory.
- Understanding of basic electromechanical systems and electrical safety standards.
- Experience in the theatre and/or entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills with multi-lingual and multi-national teams.
- Previous experience in a leadership role managing a technical team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum NVQ or HND in engineering or similar discipline.
- Proficient experience of leading project teams in technical system installation and deployment.
- Willingness to travel on average twelve weeks a year.
- Adaptable to shifting schedules, priorities, and cultural differences.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience with PLC and Navigator programming and control theory is essential.
