Position Purpose

BIM Managers play a critical role in delivering TAIT projects by guiding the creation, coordination, and management of digital models and documentation. They ensure that design intent is accurately represented and consistently communicated, aligning technical and creative teams across TAIT, our clients, and our partners. Through collaboration, proactive problem solving, and a commitment to quality, BIM Managers elevate TAIT’s design delivery.

Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead and contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of BIM standards, templates, workflows, and training, in collaboration with other BIM Managers and project leaders.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for cross-project BIM strategies, ensuring consistency across disciplines and alignment with TAIT practices.
  • Audit project BIM outputs and processes, reviewing compliance with standards and providing corrective guidance where needed.
  • Support other disciplines in BIM-readiness by helping define tools, processes, and best practices that enable effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Evaluate emerging BIM technologies, tools, and methods; support adoption and integration into TAIT’s workflows where beneficial.
  • Act as a senior technical authority and escalation point for BIM issues.
  • Partner with project leadership to ensure BIM deliverables meet client requirements and integrate effectively with design, engineering, and fabrication teams.
  • Support the setup and governance of CDE platforms across projects, ensuring robust data flow, versioning, and access control.
  • Mentor and coach BIM Coordinators and senior staff, building capability in advanced workflows, best practices, and process improvement.
  • Contribute BIM expertise to bids, proposals, and client engagements, ensuring standards and processes are clearly represented.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Theater, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Expertise in BIM coordination/ BIM management.
  • Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and ACC/BIM 360.
  • Proficiency in other tools including AutoCAD and Inventor preferred.
  • Proven experience supporting and enforcing BIM standards across multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with evaluating BIM tools, plugins, and integrations; able to recommend improvements for adoption.
  • Deep understanding of BIM best practices, information management, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
  • Excellent technical judgment, stakeholder communication, and ability to act as an escalation point for complex challenges.
  • Experience in entertainment preferred.

Work Conditions

Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions. Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location.
