Position Purpose: Executes end-to-end procurement activities for assigned project scopes with increasing independence. Ensures materials, outsourced components, and vendor services are purchased in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Scope & Autonomy: Manages moderate-complexity procurement packages independently. Regular negotiation responsibility. Interprets and applies category strategies. Identifies basic risks and escalates appropriately. Accountable for achieving defined annual cost-savings targets through negotiation and strategic sourcing. Performance against these targets will be evaluated year over year.
Responsibilities:
- Act as procurement liaison for defined project scopes including third-party services and outsourcing.
- Issue RFQs/RFPs for both materials and third-party services, organise supplier responses, and lead basic bid evaluations.
- Work with engineering and PMs to validate requirements.
- Develop POs that include necessary drawings, specifications, vendor services agreements/SOWs and terms.
- Manage orders cradle-to-grave: confirmations, expediting, changes, delivery, and invoice closure.
- Resolve routine supplier or delivery issues.
- Contribute to vendor qualification and category strategy initiatives.
- Prepare procurement status reports, spend summaries, and risk updates.
- Lead supplier negotiations to drive measurable commercial value, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual savings targets.
- Track, document, and report savings monthly and annually, with performance evaluated year over year as part of the formal performance cycle.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experienced procurement in manufacturing or similar field.
- Strong understanding of competitive bidding and supplier management.
- Demonstrated cost analysis ability.
- ERP/MRP required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPSM/CIPS a plus.
