We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to support our fast-paced, project-driven operations. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing parts and inventory items, managing intercompany (interco) orders, and ensuring alignment with Finance and Accounting teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy environment and is experienced in working within ERP systems to drive procurement efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase parts and inventory items to support multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
  • Manage intercompany (interco) orders, coordinating with global teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting to ensure proper coding, reconciliation, and budget alignment.
  • Work within an ERP system to create purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Partner with project managers, engineers, and supply chain teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively place orders to avoid shortages or delays.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Expedite orders and resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, and quality.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Experience with outsourcing mechanical operations (e.g., Laser Cutting, CNC Machining) desirable.
  • Experienced in purchasing or procurement, ideally in a project-based or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing intercompany orders and working with Finance/Accounting teams.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with a brief understanding of technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing and vendor qualification processes.
