Responsibilities:
- Prepare a strategic plan for executing each individual project by collaborating with the Director of Projects or a Senior Project Manager, the business development team, and internal heads of departments to assign project teams covering all relevant disciplines – mechanical design, electrical design, control system design, manufacturing, on-site delivery, and commissioning.
- Lead project teams to agree on solutions, timeframes, and budgets.
- Manage clients to establish clear scope, schedule, and contract, and oversee the project to that contract, negotiating changes and variations where applicable, with support from the Director of Projects or a Senior Project Manager and Contracts Manager.
- Verify that the project has been budgeted correctly and follow up on own projects, directing other project managers to do so independently if discrepancies in costing arise with the relevant sales and directors.
- Revise costs in line with client requests for changes and communicate these changes to affected parties internally and externally.
- Maintain regular contact with the site to ensure work is managed and progressed safely and according to plan, acting on feedback from the site and troubleshooting any issues.
- Visit the site and check progress as required.
- Manage project cash flow, ensuring purchasing is managed to limit cash outflow and income is realised as quickly as possible.
- Follow existing business processes and contribute to refining them.
Qualifications:
- A Degree preferably in Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
- A good understanding of the stage and/or spectaculars industry.
- Budget control experience.
- Previous experience in a project management role.
- Proven experience in staff management.
- Excellent IT skills and a working knowledge of MS Office.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
