Are you looking to head up production for a Bespoke Joinery manufacturer, with a competitive package, autonomy to make your mark and a clear scope to progress further?

As the go-to Production Manager, you'll play an integral role in driving the business forward through lean manufacturing and transformative change. Coming from a Joinery / Furniture background or similar, you'll have an appreciation of how things are put together and with 3 direct reports across assembly, spray and machine shop, will work together to drive improvements across the team.

The company has the financial backing of a larger group, but still holds onto their independent identity as a family run, close knit business, with a fantastic culture and great retention rates. Having recently signed off a number of multi-million pound contracts, this 60 strong business has exciting growth plans and a bright future ahead.

The Role

  • Oversee day-to-day production across the joinery workshop
  • Implement and champion Lean / 5S methodology to drive continuous improvement
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of production staff and shopfloor supervisors
  • Work closely with the Drawing Office and senior management to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, driving efficiency gains across the site

The Person

  • Production Management within Joinery, Furniture or Fit Out
  • Proven experience implementing Lean / 5S principles or similar
  • Confident leading and developing a shopfloor team
  • Strong organisational skills, comfortable working to tight timescales and budgets
