An international Corporate Bank is seeking a well-networked, proactive Relationship Director to develop its Defence sector offering focussed on the UK and parts of Europe. The role is based in London.

This is a rare opportunity to build a business largely from scratch and take ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Identify market opportunities in the Defence and related sectors.
  • Establish, develop and manage client relationships and be the bank's point of contact with those clients.
  • Analyse client businesses, identify client goals and proactively introduce corporate and commercial banking solutions as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance to clients to support financial decisions.
  • Develop close working relationships with other areas of the bank with a view to cross-sell and related opportunities.
  • Continually assess the risks associated with the client relationship and propose/implement measures to minimise potential risks.
  • Continually monitor client satisfaction, revenue and other significant metrics.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Relationship professional in a Corporate Bank.
  • Strong network in the Large Corporate client and financial community in the Defence sector.
  • Strong knowledge of lending products.
  • The ability to develop, as well as manage, client relationships.
  • The ability and desire to proactively build a business.
  • Well-developed negotiation and relationship building skills, both internal and external.
