I’m looking for a kind, patient and reliable person to help care for my 13‑year‑old dog, Betty, around 3 days per week while I’m at work.

What She Needs

  • 1–2 visits per day (timing flexible)
  • Short, gentle walks (10–20 mins at her pace)
  • Company/cuddles, light play/stimulation, and supervision at home (or other suitable arrangements such as getting picked up to go somewhere)
  • Someone who is happy to go slowly and give reassurance when she feels unsure

About Betty

  • Blind, so she navigates by memory, smell, and touch
  • Walks slowly and may stop/start or need guidance
  • Initially nervous around other dogs, but warms up with time
  • Loves affection, sunbathing, and being around people

What I’m Looking For

  • Someone experienced with older or special‑needs dogs (preferred)
  • Calm, patient, and compassionate
  • Reliable and trustworthy (you would need access to my flat while I’m at work)
  • Happy to build a consistent and caring relationship with Betty

This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys caring for dogs and understands that this is more about companionship and gentle care than long walks or high‑energy activity. I’d love to arrange a meet‑and‑greet and a trial session to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone. Please get in touch with a bit about your experience and availability.
