Boo is a very reactive dog and needs an experienced, calm and confident handler. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
We’re based in the Southside of Glasgow and are looking for someone who could either stay in our Southside flat or have Boo stay with them when we’re away for work or family commitments — we’re open to either arrangement depending on what suits.
Boo is a medium-sized Romanian rescue, around five years old. He’s a neutered male and has been with us since he was about eight months old. He’s a sensitive dog with a number of behavioural challenges, including reactivity towards both people and other dogs.
Because of this, it’s really important that any arrangement is built up gradually. We would plan a series of meet‑ups (usually around 4–5) so that Boo can get to know you and feel comfortable — this approach has worked well for him in the past and allows trust to build at his pace.
Boo can be an incredibly rewarding (and cheeky) dog to spend time with once he feels safe and familiar with someone, and we’re looking for the right person who understands that process and is happy to take things steadily.
There has been one previous bite incident in a specific, high‑pressure situation involving food. We’re very open about this and happy to discuss it in more detail — with the right handling and awareness of his triggers, this is something we manage carefully.
If you have experience with reactive or rescue dogs and are comfortable working with clear structure and boundaries, please get in touch — we’d love to find the right fit for Boo!
