The Project Delivery Manager is key to executing the delivery/commercialisation phase of the New Product Development (NPD) process.

We are Tails.com, a dog food subscription company with a big difference. We create truly tailored food for each and every dog we serve. We start by asking people a few simple questions about their dog. Then we use that information to create their dog's unique Tails.com recipe – so their dog gets exactly the nutrition they need, in the taste they love, delivered to their door every month.

Having created an entirely new category in pet food, we are now scaling fast – backed by Purina, one of the world's largest pet food companies. Together, we will change the world of pet food for good.

The role focuses on converting innovation ideas into practical, executable plans and driving cross‐functional delivery through to launch. It works closely with the Range Innovation Manager who has overall project responsibility. Once initiatives have been defined and approved, this role ensures that approved innovations are delivered to market efficiently, on time, within budget, and to required quality and compliance standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed delivery plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Ensure all deliverables are met across packaging, formulation, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, operational improvements, promotional activities, and launch readiness. Identify project risks and create mitigation plans.
  • Cross‐Functional Coordination: Act as the link between Innovation and other functions such as Marketing, Commercial, Digital, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations teams during the delivery phase of the stage gate process. Facilitate effective communication and ensure team alignment throughout all project phases. Organise project meetings, reviews, and update sessions. Drive decision making and ensure escalation of issues rapidly where required to maintain project delivery timelines.
  • Product Launch Management: Oversee delivery phase of product launch cycles—from concept approval to market rollout. Coordinate operational readiness for product launches, including packaging development and artwork finalisation, supplier onboarding and material availability, product trials and scale up, regulatory compliance and risk management, production planning, and go‐to‐market activity plans. Ensure that launch timings align with defined commercial plans.
  • Project and Performance Tracking: Monitor project milestones and KPIs, providing regular updates to leadership. Ensure documentation, project reports, and post‐implementation reviews are completed. Use project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or SAP‐based tools. Identify delivery risks and constraints, implement mitigation plans. Manage project budgets and control cost creep during execution. Track critical path activities and proactively address delays.
  • Governance, Reporting & Gate Management: Manage NPD stage‐gate deliverables during the delivery phase. Provide regular progress updates, risks, and mitigation plans to senior stakeholders. Ensure documentation, change control, and approvals are completed in line with governance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing or supply chain functions. Drive standardisation and best‐practice adoption across project processes. Lead post‐launch reviews focused on delivery performance, learnings, and improvement opportunities. Support refinement of NPD delivery processes and ways of working.

The skills you'll bring:
