As a Qualified Teacher of Humanities (Geography and History) working with TailorEDucation, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons across the humanities curriculum. You will be responsible for planning and teaching well‑structured lessons, assessing pupil progress, and creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
About the School/Setting: TailorEDucation has partnered with a secondary school in the Gravesend area that is seeking a Humanities Teacher who can join them as soon as possible and continue until the end of the academic year. This position is five days per week and includes full teaching responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- A degree or strong subject background in Geography, History, or a related humanities discipline
- Proven experience teaching Geography and/or History within a UK secondary school setting
- A good understanding of the national curriculum at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing and progress of all students
- A genuine enthusiasm for humanities and inspiring young people to learn
