Volunteer Opportunity looking for a volunteer with experience in the educational sector to help us edit and improve our educational school workshops and sell books to schools to generate income for our children's bereavement charity which preserves memories in stories and legacy paintings.
What difference will you make? This opportunity will help us generate income so that we can continue to support bereaved families which is particularly relevant in the current climate. Our bespoke books and legacy paintings can help bring comfort and healing to children who are struggling through the grieving process. We don't want kids to struggle with issues of guilt because they can't remember someone they loved and lost many years ago. This is a wonderful way to keep those precious memories alive.
Qualifications: I am looking for someone who has experience in lesson planning or is familiar with the national curriculum to help us with this project. This is ideal for anyone looking to develop skills to allow them to work in schools in the future.
Responsibilities: This is an ideal match for someone who is either a retired teacher or has experience in the educational sector. The work can be done remotely and has flexible working hours. We are able to help and support any volunteer with navigating this process with useful knowledge about the book, business and industry. We have so far created educational workshops based on my first children's book Postpixie Missing in Action which was released five years ago and have given talks to several schools. We also might need a little help understanding how best to market workshops to make them appealing to schools. This is also an ideal opportunity for someone with plenty of teaching experience but is looking for a new challenge.
