We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated night owl to join our team. Between 1 -4 waking night shifts per week, providing high quality overnight care for young adults with complex needs, half hourly overnight checks, personal care, moving and assisting, medication management, enteral feeding and helping out around the home.

WAKING NIGHT STAFF DUTIES
- To remain awake throughout the duration of your shift
- To respond to any of the individuals’ needs throughout the night in accordance with their care plans Complete 30 -minute nightly checks
- Respond quickly to any alarms throughout the night
- Complete any domestic duties as and when required
CLINICAL SKILLS
- To dispense and administer medications following care plans and medication administration charts.
- To identify and respond swiftly if individuals need PRN medication.
- Some medication may be given by a specialist technique; this will be covered within your induction training (Enteral medication, suppositories and enemas).
- Ventilation
SOCIAL CARE
- To be a responsible role model to the individuals in the home and the wider community.
- To promote life skills within the home and community such as laundry, washing up, cooking, cleaning, room tidying and shopping.
- To encourage each individual to become as independent as their abilities allow them to and empower each individual to reach their full potential.
- To support individuals with their eating and drinking as required
HEALTH CARE
- Care for and assist individuals with their nightly care and heath needs
- To provide invasive personal care, each carer must uphold complete privacy and dignity when carrying out personal care tasks with an individual
- To support individuals in the end stages of their lives, this includes supporting the individual’s families during this time as well as the individual
GENERAL
- To maintain confidentiality at all times in and outside of the home.
- To co -operate in the agreed systems of supervision and staff appraisals.
- To have full knowledge and understanding of safeguarding adults and how to report a safeguarding concern.
- To carry out all duties in line with Tailored Transitions policies, procedures and practices.
Requirements
- You must have the right to work within the UK (we do NOT offer sponsorships)
- A good standard of English both spoken and written and be able to communicate effectively
- Access to your own car is a distinct advantage, but not essential
- A warm, compassionate, and personable nature with the ability to work with patience, tact and understanding
