A leading multidisciplinary building services consultancy is seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to join their Oxford office as part of the continued expansion of their regional MEP leadership team. This is a senior leadership opportunity within one of the UK’s most respected building services consultancies, offering the chance to lead major multidisciplinary projects while helping shape the growth and direction of the Oxford business.
The Oxford office delivers complex projects across science & research, healthcare, education, commercial and specialist technical environments, with a significant focus on refurbishment and retrofit schemes.
The Role
This role combines technical leadership, commercial input, client relationship management and team development. Responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical engineering delivery across major projects
- Managing client relationships and acting as a senior point of contact
- Overseeing and reviewing technical design work
- Supporting business development and bid activity
- Managing project profitability and resource allocation
- Mentoring and developing engineers across the regional team
- Supporting collaboration across Oxford and Cambridge offices
- Driving quality, innovation and technical excellence
Requirements
- Significant experience within building services consultancy
- Strong technical background in electrical building services design
- Proven leadership and client management capability
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
- Commercial awareness and bid involvement
- Strong understanding of British Standards and industry regulations
- Experience within sectors such as life sciences, healthcare, education or commercial projects
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range typically between £50,000 - £72,000 depending on experience
- £4,200 car allowance
- Hybrid working model (3 days office based)
- 9-day working fortnight – option to work slightly longer hours Monday to Friday across a two-week period, allowing employees to take every other Friday off while maintaining full salary
