A leading HVAC manufacturer is seeking a HVAC Rental Engineer to support its growing rental division across the Midlands and Northern regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys a varied field-based role involving installation, commissioning, fault finding, planned maintenance, and customer interaction across a wide range of HVAC and chiller equipment. The position offers excellent earning potential, autonomy, ongoing technical development, and the opportunity to work within a well-established and regarded Chiller manufacturer.
The Role
- Installation, commissioning, decommissioning, servicing, and maintenance of rental chillers and HVAC equipment
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs across the rental fleet
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults efficiently
- Supporting customers on-site while maintaining high service and safety standards
- Providing technical support and identifying additional opportunities where appropriate
- Completing accurate service reports and communicating effectively with internal service teams
- Assisting with mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior engineers when required
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and industry regulations
Background Required
- Previous experience working within a HVAC, chiller, or refrigeration service environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding and controls experience
- FGas/ Hydrocarbon refrigerant experience would be advantageous
- Willingness to travel throughout the Midlands and North, with occasional visits to service centres and depots
Package
- £40,000–£45,000
- Door to door travel pay
