Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer required for a leading multidisciplinary building services consultancy with over 100 years of delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth within their Cambridge office, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer/ Senior Electrical Engineer to join their established MEP team. The Cambridge office currently supports a broad portfolio of technically challenging projects across science & research, healthcare, education, commercial and specialist environments, with a strong focus on refurbishment and retrofit schemes. This role would suit someone looking to develop within a collaborative consultancy environment while working on high-profile and technically complex projects.
The Role
You will support the delivery of electrical building services designs across a variety of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout RIBA Stages 3 & 4. Responsibilities will include:
- Electrical design for building services projects
- Producing calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Working collaboratively with mechanical, sustainability and specialist teams
- Supporting project delivery from concept through detailed design
- Attending client and design team meetings
- Coordinating designs using Revit and AutoCAD
- Supporting junior engineers where appropriate
Requirements
- Experience within building services consultancy
- Good understanding of electrical building services design
- Experience working on commercial, healthcare, education or science/research projects
- Familiarity with British Standards and industry regulations
- Revit and/or AutoCAD experience preferred
- Strong communication and team-working skills
Salary & Benefits
- Salary £40,000 - £50,000
- 25 Days Holiday
- Hybrid working – typically 3 days in office
- 9-day working fortnight – option to work slightly longer hours Monday to Friday across a two-week period, allowing employees to take every other Friday off while maintaining full salary.
