A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our client, a well-established business with over 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of secret-fixed timber panel systems for large commercial projects. They have been at the heart of some of the most forward-thinking and technically demanding modern commercial projects in timber. Their in-house design team provides the expertise to undertake bespoke panel designs, support architects with detailed design solutions, and deliver full panel layouts, detailed designs, and manufacturing drawings for every engineered system.
Due to continued expansion, my client is now searching for a Contracts & Procurement Coordinator who will be the engine room of the business, ensuring projects run smoothly day to day by managing contract administration, procurement, and coordination tasks. The role allows senior staff and Directors to focus on delivery, design leadership, and business growth.
Responsibility & Duties- Review and interpret technical drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
- Carry out drawing take-offs to determine materials, components, and quantities required.
- Liaise with suppliers, raise purchase orders, and track materials through to delivery.
- Monitor budgets and support procurement cost control.
- Coordinate internally with Contract Coordinators, Accounts, Design, and Project Leads.
- Maintain organised project and contract records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support compliance with Timber Chain of Custody and internal quality procedures.
- Previous experience within construction, manufacturing, or technical coordination (timber, joinery, cladding, ceilings, or similar environments advantageous).
- Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings, with the ability to understand scope and quantities.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail when managing project information.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general office systems.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with a team-focused approach.
- Willingness to learn procurement, take-offs, and contract administration within a structured environment.
