A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing multi-disciplinary surveying practices. They specialize in delivering high-quality surveying services to a diverse client base, including architects, planning consultants, utility companies, government agencies, engineers, ecologists, and a wide range of construction-related professionals. Their expertise spans across multiple sectors, including architecture, planning, retail, commercial & facilities management, infrastructure & highways, and construction & civil engineering.
Due to my clients' continued success and rapid expansion, they are now seeking an experienced setting out engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting out, engineering & topographic surveys and will be based around the East Midlands. You will come from a land surveying, topographical, setting out or site engineering background ideally.
Responsibility & Duties- Set out works on site using total stations, GPS, and laser levels in line with drawings and specifications.
- Establish control points and site markers for construction activities.
- Carry out as-built surveys and support QA checks.
- Liaise with site teams to ensure accurate interpretation of plans.
- Monitor works for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain setting-out records and daily reports.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Surveying.
- Proficient with Total Stations, GPS, and Laser Levels for site setting out.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and construction plans.
- Experience using N4ce and LSS for survey data processing and modelling.
- Familiar with as-built surveys, QA checks, and dimensional control.
- CSCS card holder with valid UK driving licence.
