A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Utility Surveyor to join one of the UK’s leading survey practices, established in 1972 and ISO 9001 certified, with PUMA-accredited PAS128 status and memberships including Constructionline Gold, SSIP, Achilles UVDB, UKSTT, and Chartered ICES. Delivering PAS128 underground utility surveys, CCTV drainage condition surveys, clearance surveys, confined space surveys, and sewer as-built surveys across construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, defence, and public sectors, this is a business operating across Oxford, East Midlands, East Anglia, Sussex, and West Midlands — and a company where a Utility Surveyor can genuinely thrive, develop, and make their mark.

As a Utility Surveyor you will work within a growing team of survey professionals, taking ownership of field-based utility mapping projects and delivering accurate, client-ready data across a varied and challenging project portfolio.

Responsibility & Duties
  • Conduct PAS128 underground utility surveys using GPR and CAT/Genny
  • Carry out CCTV drainage condition surveys to WRC Sewerage Rehab Manual
  • Undertake confined space surveys in sewers, chambers, and culverts
  • Complete clearance surveys ahead of excavation, piling, and drilling
  • Produce accurate AutoCAD utility drawings and survey deliverables
  • Liaise directly with clients on site to manage expectations and outputs
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confined space regulations
  • Support the wider survey team across multi-discipline project delivery
Experience & Qualification
  • Proven experience as a Utility Surveyor in a field-based role
  • Competent with GPR equipment and CAT/Genny signal tracing
  • Experience conducting PAS128 Type B and C utility surveys
  • Knowledge of CCTV drainage survey and WRC coding standards
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for production of utility mapping drawings processing
  • Confined space trained with valid certification (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to survey accuracy
  • Full UK driving licence essential
