The Land & Measured Building Surveyor will work alongside survey professionals, taking ownership of field data capture and delivering high-quality survey outputs to clients across the UK from bases in either Milton Keynes or Norfolk. A fantastic opportunity has arisen with one of our clients based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s most established and respected survey practices, delivering topographical surveys, measured building surveys, 3D laser scanning, BIM surveys, aerial surveys, hydrographic surveys, utility mapping, and structural monitoring across the construction, infrastructure, defence, heritage, energy, and estates sectors nationwide. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for a Land & Measured Building Surveyor seeking a technically rich and genuinely varied role. This is a business where you can continue to develop, take ownership, and make a real mark within a highly regarded surveying team.

Responsibility & Duties:

  • Carry out topographical and measured building surveys on site
  • Operate total stations, GNSS, and 3D laser scanning equipment
  • Produce AutoCAD and Revit drawings from field data
  • Undertake BIM surveys and digital twin data capture
  • Manage survey setups, control networks, and site logistics
  • Liaise with clients professionally on site and post-survey
  • Contribute to quality checking of survey outputs pre-delivery
  • Adhere to health, safety, and CDM regulations at all times

Experience & Qualification:

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years land or measured building survey experience
  • Ability to run their own surveys
  • Proficient with Leica, Trimble, or equivalent total station equipment
  • Competent in AutoCAD; Revit or BIM experience advantageous
  • Strong understanding of control networks and coordinate geometry
  • HNC, degree, or equivalent in surveying or related discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate field data recording
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence — essential for site travel
