Financial Controller to join its senior leadership team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded qualified accountant to play a pivotal role within a multi-entity business that is experiencing significant growth and pursuing an active acquisition strategy.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director and working closely with the Board, you will take ownership of financial control, group reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management and the financial integration of acquired businesses.
The Opportunity
As Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial governance across the group while delivering high-quality financial information to support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include
- Preparing consolidated monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Producing year-end statutory accounts and managing relationships with external auditors.
- Overseeing all statutory and regulatory submissions, including VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Companies House requirements.
- Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process and delivering consolidated group reporting.
- Managing group cashflow forecasting, treasury activities and intercompany funding arrangements.
- Developing and enhancing financial controls, processes and accounting policies across the wider group.
- Supporting acquisition activity through financial due diligence, onboarding and post-acquisition integration.
- Delivering management information and insights to the Finance Director, Board and key stakeholders.
- Leading, mentoring and developing finance team members across the organisation.
- Managing investor reporting requirements and responding to financial queries.
About You
We\'re looking for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic, evolving business environment.
You will ideally have
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Group Financial Controller, Financial Controller or senior finance leadership position.
- Strong group consolidation and multi-entity reporting experience.
- A background working within acquisitive, multi-site or complex organisational structures.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge coupled with strong commercial awareness.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance, reporting or consolidation systems.
- Strong leadership capabilities and a track record of developing finance teams.
- The confidence and credibility to engage with senior stakeholders and Board-level executives.
