Interim Group Financial Controller (12-Month FTC)

The Opportunity
A high-growth business is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join the finance leadership team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will provide maternity cover whilst supporting the business through a period of continued growth, transformation and strategic development.
Working closely with senior leadership team you will take ownership of the Group's financial control environment, lead the annual audit process and ensure the timely delivery of accurate consolidated financial reporting across a complex, multi-site operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly group consolidation and production of consolidated management accounts.
- Lead the year-end audit process and statutory accounts preparation for the 2026 financial year.
- Drive the completion and finalisation of the business's IFRS 16 implementation.
- Lead, develop and support the Group Financial Control and Controllership team.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance across the business.
- Partner closely with the Head of FP&A to ensure alignment between financial reporting and business performance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and advisers.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and systems.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the wider finance function.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Proven experience operating at Group Financial Controller level, either on an interim or permanent basis.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with IFRS reporting.
- Experience within a complex, multi-site or multi-entity business.
- Strong group consolidations experience.
- Comfortable leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Package
- Salary of £100,000 - £120,000
