This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role, responsible for leading the finance function, supporting the organisation's continued growth, and providing high-quality financial insight to the Executive Team and Board of Trustees. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking greater flexibility, offering part-time hours, predominantly remote working, and the chance to make a genuine impact within a purpose-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, planning and forecasting
- Produce management accounts, budgets and financial reporting
- Partner with senior stakeholders on business planning and growth opportunities
- Oversee audits, compliance, governance and risk management
- Manage and develop a small finance team
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems and processes
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or finance leadership role
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills
- Experience presenting financial information to Boards, Trustees or Senior Leadership Teams
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Charity Sector Experience Essential
- Previous experience within the charity, not-for-profit, social enterprise or healthcare sectors
- Knowledge of Charity SORP and charity accounting requirements
- Experience working with Trustees and charity governance frameworks
- Understanding of grant funding, commissioned services or contract-based income streams
