Overview

A fantastic opportunity has become available with a successful Fresh Produce specialist, in a key role as Procurement Manager. This position offers the opportunity to join a successful and driven procurement team, with a focus on designated fruit product categories, taking ownership to ensure company targets are met.

Working as part of an energetic and personable team, the position of Procurement Manager will report to and work alongside the Head of Procurement and become a fundamental member of the buying team.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement of Fresh Produce, across a variety of Fruit categories
  • Planning & management of stock, to ensure volumes are met
  • Liaising with all parties to ensure product quality is achieved
  • Managing successful & positive Supplier relationships
  • Negotiating prices, meeting financial KPI’s

Requirements

  • Experience gained in a Buying / Procurement position within Fresh Produce, ideally fruit
  • Professional and confident, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • An understanding of the Fresh Produce Supply Chain
  • Numerically minded and confident working with data
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems

Details

  • This role requires a passionate, organised and pro-active individual, confident in a fast-paced & demanding environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and tight timescales.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday
  • Salary: Competitive Salary offered + Bonus, based on personal & company performance
  • Location: Warwickshire – commutable from the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire
  • Overseas travel will be expected with this role, approx 7 weeks a year
