A fantastic opportunity has become available with a successful Fresh Produce specialist, in a key role as Procurement Manager / Buyer. This position offers the opportunity to join a successful and driven team. Working as part of an energetic and personable team, the position of Procurement Manager / Buyer will work alongside a counterpart and will become a fundamental member of the buying and commercial team.
Key responsibilities:
- Procurement of Fresh Produce, across a variety of Fresh produce categories
- Planning & management of stock, to ensure volumes are met
- Liaising with all parties to ensure product quality is achieved
- Managing successful & positive Supplier relationships
- Negotiating prices, meeting financial KPI’s
- Liaising with key retail customers
Requirements:
- Experience gained in a Buying / Procurement / Commercial role within Fresh Produce
- Professional and confident, with the ability to communicate at all levels
- An understanding of the Fresh Produce Supply Chain
- Numerically minded and confident working with data
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems
This role requires a passionate, organised and pro-active individual, confident in a fast-paced & demanding environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and tight timescales.
