Our Client is a dynamic, innovative, and established Fresh Produce business, currently achieving high levels of sustained growth across their fruit category. We currently offer an exciting opportunity to join the business as Junior Procurement Manager. The position of Junior Procurement Manager will report to and work closely with the Senior Procurement Manager, to ensure the efficient and timely procurement of fresh produce raw materials. You will work to execute an effective strategy to deliver profitability targets, professional programming, costing maintenance, claim management and accurate entry of all related costs on their ERP system.
Responsibilities include:
- Procurement of Fresh produce / Fruit
- Negotiating price and managing quantities & delivery schedules
- Complete customs paperwork and maintain procedure knowledge
- Stock Control management, reducing waste where possible
This is an integral part of the team and requires a driven & energetic individual who is seeking the opportunity to join a successful and fast-paced business. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of products within the Fresh Produce sector.
We require:
- Experience within a Procurement / Supply Chain / Commercial position would be highly advantageous
- Graduate with relevant Degree / Qualification; Purchasing / Buying, Supply Chain, Business
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build key relationships
- Confident IT ability, managing data with attention to detail
- Fresh Produce sector exposure
