Import/Export Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Linehaul Planner to join our dynamic logistics team in Bradford. This pivotal role involves coordinating and optimizing linehaul operations to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods across domestic and international supply chains. Key Responsibilities * Planning & Coordination: Develop and manage schedules for inbound and outbound linehaul operations. * Freight Management: Oversee import/export activities, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. * Carrier Liaison: Communicate with transport providers to optimize routes, costs, and delivery timelines. * Operational Support: Monitor shipments, resolve issues, and proactively manage delays or disruptions. * Cost & Efficiency: Analyze logistics data to improve efficiency and minimize transport costs. * Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including customs documentation, freight invoices, and performance reports. * Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including warehouse teams and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics operations. Key Skills & Experience * Prior experience in import/export logistics or transport planning. * Strong understanding of customs regulations, incoterms, and freight processes. * Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and carriers.
