We are recruiting on behalf of a growing children's care provider opening their first children's residential home in Woodville, Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the founding team of a brand-new Learning Disabilities service supporting young people within a small therapeutic environment with a strong 3:1 staffing ratio. The home will initially support one 15-year-old young person, with capacity for two children overall.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play an important role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing and comfort of the young person throughout the night. You will help maintain a calm and structured environment, complete regular welfare checks, provide emotional reassurance when required and ensure accurate record keeping.
This position would suit candidates with experience within care, support work, education or other transferable backgrounds who are passionate about supporting children and young people. Previous children's residential experience is desirable but not essential.
Shift Pattern:
- Waking night shifts: 9:00pm - 9:00am
- 134 contracted hours per month
- Includes one 14-hour day shift per month
