We are recruiting on behalf of a growing children's care provider opening their first children's residential home in Woodville near Swadlincote. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the founding team of a brand-new Learning Disabilities service supporting young people within a small therapeutic environment with a strong 3:1 staffing ratio. The home will initially support one 15-year-old young person, with capacity for two children overall.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in supporting young people with daily routines, education, activities and emotional wellbeing, helping to create a safe, nurturing and structured home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates from children's residential care backgrounds, as well as individuals with transferable experience from care, education or support work who are looking to progress within the sector.
Shift Pattern
- 1 day on / 2 days off rota
- Long day shifts and sleep-ins
- Approximately 35 sleep-ins per month
Residential Childcare Worker Requirements
- Previous care, support work, education or residential experience considered
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- Ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries
- Drivers preferred
Senior Residential Support Worker Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Senior in children's residential care
- Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
- Drivers required
