Waking Night Support Worker Childrens Residential HomeLocation: Hove, BN3
Salary: £26,728 £29,005 per annum
Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 9:30pm 7:30am
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly regarded provider of therapeutic residential childcare, for a Waking Night Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Hove.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a specialist service that supports children and young people within a therapeutic residential setting. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional security of children throughout the night while contributing to a nurturing and supportive home environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing overnight support, supervision, and safeguarding for children and young people.
- Ensuring the home remains a safe, calm, and secure environment during night hours.
- Supporting young people who may require emotional reassurance or practical assistance during the night.
- Completing regular welfare checks and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Working closely with the wider care team to ensure continuity of care and support.
- Promoting positive outcomes and helping young people feel safe, valued, and cared for.
Salary & Progression
- Starting salary: £26,728 per annum (£12.85 per hour)
- Automatic progression to £26,998 per annum (£12.98 per hour) following successful completion of the 6-month training programme and performance review.
- Further progression available up to £29,005 per annum (£13.94 per hour).
- Opportunity to earn additional pay through special bank holiday shifts.
