About the Role:

As a Team Leader you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8-18 who may have autism, learning disabilities, and/or emotional and behavioural needs. You’ll also help lead and guide the staff team, ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely.

You’ll work on a rotational shift pattern, including weekends, bank holidays, and overnight stays (sleep-ins). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Home Manager with daily operations
  • Leading shifts and allocating tasks clearly to the team
  • Ensuring a safe, warm, and responsive environment for the young people
  • Supporting care planning, record-keeping, and review meetings
  • Promoting safeguarding best practices at all times
  • Being a positive role model for both young people and colleagues
  • Encouraging participation in daily routines, activities, and hobbies
  • Safely administering medication and maintaining accurate records

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, caring, and energetic – someone who can inspire and lead by example. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years experience in an Ofsted-registered children’s residential setting
  • A full UK driving licence
