We are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders to join a supportive and well-established Ofsted-registered children's home based in Littleover, Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced childcare or health & social care professionals who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people.

The Role

You will be supporting children and young people within a residential setting, helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where they can develop and thrive. Duties will include:

  • Building positive relationships with children and young people
  • Supporting daily routines, education, and activities
  • Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
  • Managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
  • Completing accurate records and reports
  • Working as part of a dedicated care team
  • Participating in sleep-in duties as part of the rota

Salary & Benefits

  • £34,320 - £37,320 annual salary
  • Inclusive of up to 10 sleep-ins per month
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Average of 40 hours per week

Requirements

  • Previous experience within health & social care, ideally working with children or young people
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins
  • Full right to work in the UK

Team Leader Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required for Team Leader positions
  • Previous senior or leadership experience within residential childcare is desirable
