We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established provider of residential childcare services, for Residential Support Workers to join their dedicated teams.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support young people in a residential setting, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and develop essential life skills. You will work as part of a rota-based shift team, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment.
Working Hours & Shifts
- Full-time: 40 hours per week (variations can be considered)
- Shifts operate on a rota basis (varies per home)
- Sleep-in allowance: £55 per sleep
- Minimal sleep-in requirement (approx. 1 per week)
- Separate waking night team in place (sleep-ins are not contracted)
Salary
£13.50 per hour
Approximate annual salary: £31,500 (based on 40 hours + average sleep-ins)
Requirements
- Right to Work in the UK full time
- Ability to provide 5 years of professional references
- Flexibility to work long hours and some weekends
- Ideally a full UK driving licence
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience within the care sector or a similar environment is preferred, particularly where transferable skills can be demonstrated
- Qualifications in Health & Social Care or Residential Childcare are advantageous but not essential
- Full training and support to gain relevant qualifications will be provided where required
