Job Description Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home\n Location: Newhaven, East Sussex Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Full-time, Permanent \n Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Newhaven, East Sussex. \n This is a key leadership position with responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the home , ensuring that young people receive safe, nurturing and therapeutic care while maintaining high standards of safeguarding, compliance and practice. \n You will work closely with the Responsible Individual and Deputy Manager , while also working collaboratively with the Quality & Compliance Manager, who provides monitoring, quality assurance and professional challenge. The Role\n As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, child-centred culture where safeguarding, wellbeing and outcomes for young people are at the heart of everything you do. \n \n Managing the day-to-day operation of the children's home. \n Providing strong leadership, supervision and development to the staff team. \n Maintaining effective safeguarding and child protection procedures. \n Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns, allegations and serious incidents. \n Making external referrals and ensuring regulatory notifications are completed accurately and within required timescales. \n Ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 , Quality Standards and the home's Statement of Purpose. \n Preparing for and participating in Ofsted inspections. \n Responding positively to audits, monitoring visits and quality assurance feedback. \n Ensuring individualised care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed. \n Championing children's rights, participation and individual outcomes. \n Monitoring educational, health and emotional wellbeing outcomes. \n Providing supervision, appraisal and performance management to staff. \n Identifying training needs and supporting ongoing professional development. \n Participating in the on-call rota and acting as a key part of the escalation pathway. \n About You\n We are looking for a confident and resilient leader with significant experience within children's residential care and a strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements. \n You will need: \n \n A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare , or be working towards this. \n Significant experience working within children's residential care. \n Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements. \n Proven experience in safeguarding and staff leadership. \n The ability to drive service improvement and maintain high standards of care. \n A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes. \n Experience leading a children's home through an Ofsted inspection. \n The opportunity to lead and develop a dedicated care team. \n A supportive governance structure with access to quality assurance and professional challenge. \n The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives and outcomes of young people. \
