Registered Manager Children's Residential Home Location: Littleover, Derby Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + performance-related bonuses Contract: Full Time, Permanent We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 2-bed children's residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in Derby. The home is currently rated Good by Ofsted , and our client is seeking a dedicated manager who can continue to drive quality, compliance, and positive outcomes. The Role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times. You will lead and develop the staff team, promote a positive and nurturing culture, and work closely with external professionals, families, and local authorities to ensure children receive the best possible support. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the home in line with Children's Homes Regulations and company policies. Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of all children and young people within the service. Lead, supervise, and develop a high-performing staff team. Maintain full compliance with safeguarding requirements, Ofsted regulations, and quality standards. Manage staffing levels, rotas, budgets, and resources effectively. Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and placement plans. Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, families, education providers, and external agencies. Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving and maintaining a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating. Requirements Previous experience within children's residential care. Experience in a supervisory, deputy manager, or registered manager position. Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and safeguarding legislation. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards). Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to manage performance, budgets, and service development. Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Enhanced DBS check required.
