Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join their children's residential home in Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager looking to progress within a highly regarded care provider. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help lead a dedicated team and support children and young people to thrive in a safe, nurturing and positive environment. You will play a key role in shaping the culture, standards and day-to-day experience within the home while ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of residential childcare professionals
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care planning and record keeping
- Assist with staff supervision, training and performance management
- Support regulatory compliance and quality standards
- Act as a positive role model and provide leadership across the service
- Support the home through inspections and quality assurance processes
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a children's residential care setting
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and develop a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including sleep-ins when required
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
