Job Description
Deputy Manager Children's Residential Home Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm, plus one weekend day per month (day off in lieu) and participation in an on-call rota.
Contract: Full Time | Permanent Deputy Manager We are recruiting on behalf of an established children's care provider for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the launch of their brand-new Ofsted-registered children's home in Crawley .
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll help lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring children receive outstanding care in a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home.
Lead, supervise and develop the residential care team.
Oversee care plans, risk assessments and children's records.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and Ofsted regulations.
Build positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
Support staff recruitment, induction, supervision and training.
Participate in the on-call rota and help maintain high standards across the service.
About You To be considered, you'll have: Experience working within an Ofsted-registered children's home.
Previous leadership experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager.
A Level 4 or 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards and residential childcare legislation.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
